As a parent, you may want to find peers for your child to improve their social skills. However, children on the spectrum may need specialized support to address individual needs. For social skills to be effective, children should be grouped not just by age, but by skill level, interests, and shared goals. Our social skills ABA services in Orange County aim to accomplish these goals.
Features of our social skills ABA program:
We match clients with other clients based on age, level, location, and interests. Both children have BTs to support their participation in play dates and to work on individualized goals during regularly scheduled meetings. These meetings are held at various locations (e.g., home, clinic, Zoom, community, etc.)

Each client is paired with one or more peers at a similar level of functioning, allowing all participants to benefit from shared interaction. While every child has individualized goals and receives 1:1 support from a behavior technician, they also engage in group activities designed to build social skills. The social skills leader plans structured activities, and behavior technicians create opportunities throughout the session to help each child practice their goals in a peer group setting.
Yes- we bill it the same as we do for 1:1 direct therapy since each child is paired 1:1 with a behavior technician. This is different from billing as “group therapy” where one BT bills for multiple clients.
