ABA therapy, or applied behavior analysis, is based on a science that uses behavior principles to improve socially significant behaviors (Cooper, Heron, and Heward (2007)). ABA therapy breaks down complex skills into smaller, manageable steps and rewards progress, making learning more accessible and enjoyable.
ABA is recommended for those with autism because it can uniquely cater to the spectrum of practical and emotional needs. A Spectrum Behavioral Therapies ABA therapist will use all the available interventions to create an individualized plan for each client.
Out of all the ABA therapy practices near Claremont, people choose Spectrum Behavioral Therapies because we offer high-quality customized care for each client. No two clients receive the same ABA plan. Additionally, we understand that as a child learns and grows, their plan needs to follow. Your child’s best interest is always at the forefront of our expert team.
Our support also extends to parents. We offer parent training that teaches parents how to better interact with their children and how to maintain progress between ABA sessions. This allows parents to be more proactive in their child’s ABA journey.
If you live near Claremont, our ABA therapy programs may be able to help you or your child—we work with people of all ages.

ABA therapy is effective for children with autism or other developmental delays by breaking down large lessons into smaller steps that are easier to learn. Our children’s ABA therapy near Claremont addresses communication, motor, social, and daily living skills. With time, parents will see their children grow into more confident and independent individuals.
Early intervention, meaning teaching young children before they learn patterns and habits, is important to ABA therapy because of the neuroplasticity of a child’s brain. As we develop patterns they become more ingrained in our brain, making learning new patterns difficult. Our programs take advantage of this brief period to build a solid foundation for learning new skills.
Spectrum Behavioral Therapies’ ABA services aren’t restricted to children. We also work with adults with autism. Our ABA therapy plans include time to unlearn maladaptive habits before focusing on building new ones. We will work at our clients’ speed, so they can become more independent and thrive in life.
Going from home to school is a significant life change for those with autism. It’s a brand new environment, new people, and new rules to follow. This is why we created this school prep program. We address the skills required in school, such as focusing, following directions, and communicating. We will also work with the school to ensure a supportive environment.
Spectrum Behavioral Therapies near Claremont also offers a social skill-building program. We created this program so those with autism of all ages can build and practice their social skills in a safe environment. We will use techniques such as group activities and role-playing to build confidence and better communication, leading to better relationships.

It’s been a year since my kids have been with Spectrum, I can’t begin to tell you how amazing everyone at Spectrum has been with both my kids. All of their staff have done an amazing job with my two kiddos, I have seen great progress with my almost 5 year old and my 3 year old; behaviors have improved drastically from when they first started a year ago to now. Anyone looking into ABA agencies, I strongly recommend you consider Spectrum, they will be very helpful, reliable and friendly.Posted on Alexis AmbrosioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Spectrum has truly been life-changing for our family. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed, supported, and cared for. The office is always spotless and inviting, and full of people who truly care about the children they work with. Jess has been nothing short of amazing. Thanks to their patience, dedication, and skill, my son has found his voice and made progress we once only hoped for. Richie and Marisa are incredible supervisors! Always on top of everything, quick to communicate, and making sure we always feel like a priority. We’ve been to other clinics for different therapies, but nothing compares to the care, professionalism, and genuine passion we’ve experienced at Spectrum. We are beyond grateful for the difference they’ve made in our son’s life. 🤍Posted on Maria ServinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have been with Spectrum for almost a year now, and I truly can't say enough wonderful things about them. From the very beginning, the entire staff has been caring, patient, and genuinely invested in my son's growth. The progress he has made in such a short time is nothing short of amazing, and I know it's because of the dedication and skill of this incredible team. Special thanks to Alex, Daniel, and Kenneth, who work with my son directly and bring so much energy, compassion, and creativity to every session. They meet him where he's at, celebrate his victories, and help him through the challenges with kindness and understanding. I also want to recognize Marisa and Janet, who are outstanding supervisors--always checking in, offering guidance, and making sure every plan is tailored to fit my son's needs. What makes Spectrum stand out is that they don't just provide therapy, they become like family. We always feel supported, heard, and valued. Knowing my son is surrounded by people who truly care about him and want him to succeed means the world to us. If you're looking for an ABA center that will treat your child with respect, patience, and genuine love, I wholeheartedly recommend Spectrum. They have been a blessing to our family.Posted on maria RodriguezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My child has been with Spectrum for about two years. We are very lucky and fortunate to have selected this ABA company out of many other companies to help our child learn and grow everyday. Scheduling with Anna and team is very convenient because you can either text or email them and they'll respond in a timely manner. Big shout out to Samantha, Kim J, Dalena, Kim T, Melody, Yiming, Kelsey, Cynthia, Elizabeth, and Ashley. They have been nothing but exceptional in our child's case. Very professional, kind, and great human beings. I could tell that they really care about what they're doing. They set goals and help our child meet them. I have no complaints because I have seen the progress our child has made from potty training to learning how to talk, monthly clinic meetings, and the parent training have really helped us as parents. All of the people that I have mentioned above are an important asset to this company and if you're looking for an ABA company, I wouldn't look elsewhere.Posted on Steve BeyerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. SBT has been the only behavioral therapists that has worked with my son and I’m so happy that I chose them first. He has been with them for nearly 3 years and the progress that he has made has been tremendous. He has learned to speak in full sentences, ask us for something when he wants it, listens to directions, sustaining attention and so much more. At SBT, not only do they ask you what goals you want for your child but they also come up with goals that they think your child should learn. Educational goals, life skill goals, social goals, any goals that you can think of, they will come up with a plan together with you to achieve those goals. Not only do they care about your child’s progress, they also care about the parents as well. They constantly make sure to answer any questions or concerns you may have and they will try their best to fit all the sessions into your schedule. If your looking for a behavioral therapists that can teach your child anything, I highly recommend SBT!Posted on Angie KangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My child has autism and ADHD and was previously in a Special Day Class at a public school. During his 3rd-grade IEP meeting, I requested a 1-on-1 aide so he could attend some academic subjects in a general education class where he wouldn’t have difficulty. However, the school denied my request, and the general education teacher responded by asking me, "What would be good for you to send him to a general class?" I was shocked by this response and realized that I couldn’t send my son to a school with that kind of attitude. I found a private school that was willing to accept him, but they required an ABA therapist to be with him during school hours. The parent who recommended this school spoke very highly of the ABA therapy center her son attended. That’s how I found Spectrum Behavioral Therapy and began services with them. At the same time, my son started attending his new school with the support of behavioral therapists. From the very beginning, we met an amazing team. Andrew was the team's supervisor, and the therapists—Alyssa, Gia, Kenneth, and Jessica—worked so incredibly hard to help my son adjust to school and succeed. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication. We had experience with another ABA therapy center before, but I can confidently say that Spectrum Behavioral Therapy is on a completely different level. They go above and beyond expectations. They notice things I don’t see, suggest solutions before I even realize there’s an issue, and genuinely care about my child with such warmth and dedication. Transitioning from a Special Day Class in a public school to a general education setting in a private school was a huge challenge. The first year, which started in the second semester of 3rd grade, was especially tough for my son. Everything was new, and he struggled to adjust. He had frequent tantrums, and at one point, the school suggested homeschooling for a few weeks. We tried a hybrid schedule—two days at school and three days at home—until he was ready to attend more regularly. Andrew, along with his team of BTs, worked closely with us throughout the remainder of 3rd grade and summer break to create a solid plan for 4th grade. Thanks to their dedication and support, when 4th grade started, my son was able to attend school full-time. Of course, there are still some challenging days, but he is doing unbelievably well and continues to improve every single day. His team evolves as he progresses. Once he accomplishes certain goals, they set new ones to help him continue growing. His current team—Andrew, Janet, Patrick, Carolina, Jennifer, and Jessica—works tirelessly to support him, and I am beyond grateful for all they do. I hope my experience can help other parents who are looking for the best for their children. We all want to give our kids the support they need, and Spectrum Behavioral Therapy has truly made a difference in my son’s life.Posted on Madison PurpuraTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We started with Spectrum last year when our nugget had to be removed from his daycare due to aggression. With not an aggressive bone in our bodies, we had not the slightest idea how to address the problem but we wanted him to be in a place that he could start kindergarten in August. Getting him started with Spectrum was easy and quick since he already had his autism diagnosis. They asked a ton of questions to make sure they were addressing every concern we had and doing it in a way we were comfortable with. They wanted to know him and immediately saw him for the bright, funny guy he is. I've never felt like he was too much when he's there. He has so much fun and never wants to leave. I'm elated to say that in less than 6 months, the aggression was gone at home and we are now struggling to think of things to work on! He's using his words effectively and keeping his emotions regulated. He's learned to play games and not get upset if he loses. He's learned to sit for longer periods of time to do table work and, in turn, has started reading and writing at a new level. He's even showing empathy and compassion for others which I never thought would be in the cards. He is beyond ready for kindergarten. I cannot thank them enough for helping us peel back the obstacles to reach our amazing kid underneath.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
