Our ABA Therapy Services

Services can take place in the home, clinic, school, or community settings.

Comprehensive assessment

At the start of services, a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) will be conducted in which we review your child’s records, interview parent(s)/caregiver(s), observe your child, and conduct formal/informal assessments. We will then create a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and identify skill acquisition goals to address specific skill deficits.

1:1 Direct therapy

Depending on the number of therapy hours authorized for your child, you will have a team of 1-4 Behavior Technicians (BTs). BTs will work on the goals identified within the assessment process.

Supervision

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be assigned to your child’s case. The BCBA is responsible for creating treatment plans and ensuring goals are carried out as intended. Supervisors will also conduct initial and ongoing assessments, analyze data, modify treatment plans as needed, write progress reports, provide ongoing training and support for your Behavior Technicians, and collaborate with other professionals working with your child.

Monthly Clinic Meetings

Each month, you and your clinical team will meet to evaluate the status of all goals and make modifications to interventions to ensure that your child is making significant progress each month.

Parent training

Parent involvement is key to the success of the program and parents are encouraged to be active participants throughout their child’s treatment. Parent training goals are written and developed specifically for each parent. During parent training sessions, parents work 1:1 with their supervisor to learn about the principles of ABA as well as strategies to manage problem behaviors and teach skills.

School Readiness Program

Our school readiness program is designed to help children build skills that will make them more successful when they transition to the school setting.

Examples of skills taught include:

sitting for circle time
attending to a teacher
following group instructions
having conversations with peers
initiating and joining play
sustaining attention to non-preferred tasks

School Shadowing

We provide school shadowing for children who can benefit from additional support in the classroom. Our goal is for your child to independently respond to their teacher and participate in school activities without being dependent on their aide.

We do this by addressing the child’s individual needs and systematically fading prompts and the presence of the BT in the classroom. We work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure we are providing a benefit to the teacher and child by helping them reach their full potential in the classroom.
